Le Crocodile

Located in the Williamsburg Wythe Hotel, Le Crocodile offers patrons a French dining experience. Le Crocodile is a neighborhood favorite that serves a variety of French spirits and bites. Fans of seafood will adore Le Crocodile’s Fruits de Mer menu options, including shrimp, mussels, oysters, crab, and scallops. This Williamsburg restaurant also has an appetizing selection of hor d’oeuvres, including their Parisian sausage Dijon, oeuf mayonnaise chaude, and chicken liver pâté with cassis gelée. Entrée options include the Joyce Farms steak tartare, onion soup with gruyère and lardons, and escargot with parsley, pernod, and fennel. 


Le Crocodile also offers a delicious selection of plats principaux (main dishes). Some favored menu options include omelette du fromage with lettuces and frites, autumn vegetable tagine with Kalamata olives and couscous, and trout “almondine” with pole beans and marconas. Le Crocodile also serves a wide range of cocktails, wines, desserts, and beers. Le Crocodile is open seven days a week for dinner, lunch, and weekend brunch. Their brunch hours are Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch hours are 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and their dinner hours are 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Reservations are recommended.

Leo

Try out Williamsburg’s latest and greatest pizza joint, Leo. Leo serves a range of delicious sourdough pies along with some unique Italian dishes. Try their Margherita pizza, or go classic with a New York slice. Other favored pies include the San Giuseppe served with tomatoes, spicy sausage, onions, olives, and provolone—and the clam pie, which comes with clams, cream, garlic, chili, parsley, and pecorino.

If you need a grab-and-go meal, consider ordering the Mortadella, which is their Italian cold-cut sandwich served with pork and lightly seasoned with garlic and peppers. Other appetizer options include salami, prosciutto, and sesame seed focaccia. You can also try their aperitivo menu, which includes a soft Italian drink and an appetizer of your choice. Leo serves three drinks on their aperitivo menu, the Frozen Negroni, Spritz, and Vermouth Soda, and Olive. Leo also serves a wide range of cocktails, wines, and beers. Kokomo

If you can’t get to the Caribbean, then let the Caribbean come to you. Kokomo is a black-owned Caribbean restaurant located in the Brooklyn area, and their main dishes are heavily influenced by the rich and exotic culture of the Caribbean. Their cuisine builds on familiar island ingredients, and their menu options highlight a delicious mix of flatbread, quality meats, comfort starches, and cocktails. Kokomo offers both a brunch and dinner menu, as well as their Koko After Dark selections and Koko Hour menu. Brunch hours are Friday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and main dish selections include hearth roasted smoked sweet plantains, Koko’s chicken and waffles, and sweet plantain pancakes. Starters from their brunch menu include the grilled jerk seasoned cauliflower, sweet potato fries, and sweet plantains. 

Dinner is served Tuesday through Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and the menu is robust. Some of their main dishes include braised oxtail, the calypso burger, Canadian salmon filet, and Escovitch Snapper. Their starters include seafood fritters, Kabocha, and butternut plantain soup. Kokomo also offers a vegan menu which includes jackfruit tacos, the spicy portabello burger, Koko vegan pasta, and lentil meatballs in coconut curry sauce. The Koko After Dark menu is offered Thursday through Sunday and serves small plates of their Gochujang wings, Koko pasta flatbread pizza, Yardie shrimp flatbread pizza, and oxtail flatbread pizza. Llama Inn

Modern Love Brooklyn serves popular dishes such as mac n’ cheese, BBQ cauliflower wings, and Caribbean jerk tofu, which is served with strips of spicy tofu, plantains, and Coconut rice smothered in curry. Some of their burger and sandwich options include the modern cheeseburger, mushroom brie burger, and chickpea Parmesan hero. Their sides include the large house fries, garlic sautéed kale, and egg and potato salad. As for their entrées, try their jerk tofu bowl, tofu fried chicken, or seitan shawarma. Modern Love Brooklyn has a variety of dessert options including the peanut butter chocolate candy bar cheesecake, cookie dough brownie, pumpkin praline cheesecake, apple spice crumble bar, and the chocolate hazelnut torte.
